Oh, Changes

I've made a big decision.  One that will probably haunt me for announcing it on this tiny blog, but its one that I've made and hoping it sticks.  Real blogs....funny stories, true heartfelt thoughts, silliness, and laughter.  All mixed up and jumbled together until it bubbles over and fills this space.  There will still be picture blogs, but they'll have more oomph with words, don't ya think?

You see....I reminded myself tonight that this tiny blog is in fact for me.  For my babies' futures...in place of long overdue scrap books, they will have these pictures and words for a lifetime.  I have felt strange for awhile out in blogland....that the pictures matter.  That the editing matters.  The fact that I am not...nor do I long to be a professional photographer matters.  I will take horribly off center, bad lighting snap shots of my little ones and not rush to correct or judge or delete pictures that don't "make the cut".  How I miss real cameras...the ones where you drop your film off at CVS and wait an hour to laugh hysterically at memories made the month before.  There is no deleting or editing or perfection.  Just pictures of family, friends and good times had without a worry of lighting, focus, or lenses.  Memories held in that 4x6 glossy image that you can actually hold in your hand and not only see on a computer screen, because who has times to print pictures anymore.

I vow to pick my camera up more this month and shoot.  And then blog with words after my tinies are tucked away in bed and blast Pandora with a glass of wine as I reminisce over the week.  I want to remember this crazy, fun, tiring, lovely, silly time in my life.  And just maybe....I'll capture an image tied together with words that they will remember one day as they are sitting with their tinies.

Oh, and enjoy the new music...music always makes everything better.
