Our First "Big City" Scare

This morning, Addy and I were on our way to Whole Foods in Midtown. We were in stop and go traffic when I noticed a truck flying past us going the other direction...on the truck's tail were at least 30-40 cop cars. It was crazy....I've never seen so many police in one area flying by. I believe that I saw one police car hit another regular car but the traffic started moving and I was scared and didn't take my eyes off of the cars around me after that. When we pulled into Whole Foods parking lot about 3-4 minutes later, there were 6 helicopters hovering around us. Well, I found out what happened:

If you watch the video, you can see the chase. I think we saw him near the end of it all before he got on I-20 going the wrong direction.
Thank goodness that Addy woke up a lot later than normal (8:45) or who knows if we would have been on I-20 at the same time as him or would have been leaving Whole Foods going in the same direction as him. It was our first taste of being in a big city and a reminder that I always need to watch whats going on around us.

Oh my gosh! I saw the end of that chase on the news last night, and remember thinking "thank goodness that Jeremy, Tracy & Addy are in the Conyers area"! How scary!
