Addyson and I were on the local Columbus news tonight! They interviewed our playgroup, Auburn Mommies, because we have been doing a charity drive for the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Lee County. We are doing a bake sale on Saturday at Kid's Clothes Connection (Old Lowe's on Opelika Rd) from 10-2 to raise more money. We won't be able to make it since my reunion is this weekend but I am baking some yummy snickerdoodles and maybe some m&m's cookies for it. Addyson was in one shot singing into a microphone as she was playing with another little one...it was cute!
And, I did an interview for Lee Magazine (local magazine) a few weeks ago and it came out last week. Really good article about how new moms have to get out and talk to other adults and not stay cooped up in the house....like I was doing until Addy was about 5 months old...but then I started Auburn Mommies with 2 other gals and got out of the house so much more for playgroups and mommies night out.
So, we are famous! Ha...just kidding! ;)

I can see a "Peachtree City Mommies" group on the horizon! What a neat group, and wonderful that y'all are such good fundraisers.
